If looking from the rear my front sight is off to the right. Can I just tap it back to the left? I know it is a newb question, but so be it.

Yes, you can. Mount your slide in a vise protected with a soft cloth. Use a drift punch to knock the sight over to center. The front sight is usually tight, so be careful.



Be sure to punch on the dovetail of the sight. Do not hit the blade or it will break off.
