I heard about this "slap and load" technique on some other gun form, I tried it with some "dry fire" rounds last night and it works great. My question is: Is it safe to do with live ammo? Will doing this damage any part of the gun?

"Slap and load" (probably not the correct term): Insert clip then slap upward not using too much force, the m&p will chamber your next round. Seems to work best when the gun in a vertical / shooting position. Ensure the gun is pointing down range.
