Slide release clicking

Well, picked up my M&P 45 today and the slide release has an audible click when I push it down. My M&P 9mm doesn't click at all it just goes smoothly up and down. I was wondering if the 45 is suppose to do this and if it's going to be an issue? It's not any harder to depress I'm just wondering if it might be rubbing or catching on something that it shouldn't be?

Dude,

The last time i cleaned my MP9 i noticed that the takedown lever seemed to be catching on the recoil spring or something and trying to spring back into the up position. It's never done this before, so i screwed with it a little bit to see what was going on. If i held it down and pushed down on the end of the guide rod, it would stay down, but otherwise wanted to spring back up. DIdn't seem to adversely affect anything so i left it alone. I'm interested to hear what other people have to say about it, you're the first person i've heard mention it. I guess we'll have to wait for some other input, hopefully Dan or David might chime in and let us know if we should worry.
I HAVENT NOTICED THAT PROBLEM WITH MINE BUT I WILL CHECK IT OUT TONIGHT AND KEEP YOU POSTED
mine does not do that, maybe the spring that holds the release in is not seated right?

:?

maybe someone more knowledgeable will have some ideas here...
