Coming from a family with history dating back to the original settlers of many states and organizations, being American isn't just living here or acting out your life here... but it is the common feeling that all of us get when we look at the flag waving in the sky and knowing that what it stands for is more then just the material it is made out of. To me, being American is about progressing your life the way you want to, and trying to help others along their journey through life, and enjoying the freedoms which our forefathers guranteed in blood when they fought for our freedoms... as well as our current Americans who are fighting for the freedoms of others, and the protection of our nation.
