My M&P40 has a serial no. prefix of MPA22xx and after my intial trip to the range, it had the somewhat common issue of the slide locking back on a partially full magazine. I sent it out to Smith&Wesson on 02 Jan 07, and it showed up back at my front door today!

They replaced the slide stop and striker assemblies. NOW THAT WAS FAST!!! After I test it out, I will let you guys know how it works now.

I've heard nothing but great things about S&W's CS when it comes to the M&P line!

Keep us posted about the functionality.

7 days from dropping my M&P9 off at Fedex I received it with my problem apparently resolved. Received Thursday and shipped the next Tuesday. Very impressive considering they had it over a weekend and possibly took Monday off, especially with the problem fixed.
