Was out stump shooting in a gorge behind my parents house and man did I get into some poison ivy....

I've got it on both forearms from my sleeves to my wrists, for some reason I don't get it on my hands.

I've tried bleach, gas, 100 proof, vinegar, and nothing is drying it up.

Any help?

As a long sufferer of Poison Ivy, let me tell you the only two methods that clinically work...bleach, calomine etc. do basically nothing.

1 is the steroid/anti-inflammatory shot from your doctor.

2 is a product called Zanfel. Sold at Walgreens or any pharmacy. It's also sold as a similar product called Tecnu, Ivy Stat and some other names. It's very pricey, nearly $30 a tube, but it's 100% effective. It is gritty and scrubs the ivy and pulls out the urishiol (the oil that causes the rash). In 1 or 2 days you can effectively reduce the rash to nothing, and in less than a week it should be gone.

But, here is the thing, do it RIGHT NOW. The longer you wait, the less effective any treatment is.
