Anyone know of or know how to find a Tactical Pistol course in North Alabama that is not Law Enforcement oriented? Thanks.

I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for (i.e. bonafide instruction or a range setup), but IDPA shoots at Larry's in Huntsville on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month.

Anything on here (http://www.opspectra...om/training.php) look like it'll fit your bill?

I'm a member at Brock's Gap Training Center (aka Steel City) and act as local host for these guys (OpSpec). Free tuition for hosting doesn't hurt.

I have a Practical Fundamental (PF) class lined up for August, and an Advanced Pistol Operators Course - Defensive (APOC-D) in Feb '12. PF is a prereq. for the APOC-D unless you've had other training classes before similar to PF or have USPSA/IDPA experience.

APOC-D isn't listed on the website, but basically it's 2 days of APOC followed by a third day of force-on-force.

Not to raise the dead, but did you find your tactical pistol course?

Did you go to the Bruce Gray class at Brock's Gap?

I heard good things, but missed it. I would love to hear from someone that went.
