A local PD is currently issuing M&P 40's to it's officers and is using our range for the transition and qualifications.

Their 25 officer tac. team was first to go through. 5500 rds later all were satified and no malfunctions of any kind encountered.

Rest of the officers should be issued theirs soon and it will be interesting to see how they do.

Hey Donnie, I saw Kenner Pd at Nicks.

I was at Nicks when a couple of KPD officers came by before they had to qualify with the M&P. They were shooting their 4006's. I let them shoot my M&P 9mm and they loved it. I have Warren sights, and I did the trigger. Those that didn't qualify came back on Sat to practice. I don't know who their training officer is, but I think he could use some refresher himself. Lots of cup and saucer holds, and bad techniques. Maybe ya'll should provide their training.

I see this in movies and I just shake my head! Example "The Departed" had a ton of them. but good movie otherwise.

I went with my friend to drop off a cheese platter to a small PD that had a smaller carnival in town for a belated 4th holiday fireworks show. His mom's a dispatcher, and he's in pretty good with the cops. One of the guys was shootin the breeze and I noticed the distinctive rear sight and backstrap of an M&P.

"You switched to the M&P?"

"Yeah."

"How do you like it?"

"It's okay."

Nice guys.
