Told me some interesting things, he's been really bugging Smith about the M&P line and has alot of good info it seems. He said that Smith has pushed the .45 full size production schedule up and its going faster than planned, might be end of the year by the time the first ones start rolling out!
He said the capacity would be 10+1 or possibly 11+1, retaining the slimmer frame size rather than fattening up for more rounds (I'm glad to hear that, myself). He also mentioned that some would have an external frame safety, I guess that would be for .mil trials (that seem to now be on hold)?
Anyway, sounds very interesting and I was having such a good time talking to the guy I picked up a .40 while I was there to go with my 9. My shop had them on sale for $399.99 with a 50rd. box of Speer Gold Dots thrown in! Awesome, I think. They also had the 9 compact, and while it feels great and looks to be a very nice compact, I wasn't inclined to bite on one. My PT-111 Pro has been a superb runner, and has more capacity than the M&PC without being any bigger. For now, I'll stick to the Taurus (which surprises me that I'd ever say such a thing, but I love my PT).
