well fellow m&pers you will see me do more lurking than posting for a little while.

went and saw the doctor and found out carpel tunnell got to me I guess 5 years in front of a computer non stop has finally caught up. so i get to wear a cool splint all day except for showering and swimming so. I have to get a nerve conduction test done and if that confirms carpel tunnell and this stupid splint doesnt work time for surgery... good news is it isnt my shooting hand..

lol

Been there done that, got the scars to prove it
Actually I had both my hands done one after the other, took about 6-8 weeks to heal up good, then a while longer of conditioning.. been great ever since.

What sucks is that nerve conduction test !
You won't like that test unless it's changed drastically over the last 15 years..

I'm sure the surgery has changed somewhat since i've had mine, might even be less intrusive and easier to recover from.

Try the Splint, and take the anti inflamatory meds.. in the end it didn't work for me, but i know for some it has... and if not, see if you can find a specialist for Carpal tunnel if you need the surgery..

Good luck.

I hate being uncomfortable it eats me alive and wearing this gay splint drives me up the wall.

I got the nerve test on the 31st and about 2 weeks after that will tell if surgery is an option they say 30% of the people do not respond to the splint and meds.

Sorry to hear that. I, for one, would rather have you posting than lurking.

You really lucked out, it would have been worse if it was your shooting hand, you would have to stop shooting for a few months at least, but you got a pass!
