I was over at a buddies house and we were shooting stuff in his front yard.

There were a couple semi auto rifles, he had a glock and a 38 snub nose and I

had my mp45. Through the mix of it all I thought it would be cool to shoot his

metal burn barrel. So I did. and the bullet didn't penetrate the barrel. It did

leave a big ass dent but didnt go through... I was pretty surprised.

I was using plain 'ol ball ammo 230 grain. He laughed and made fun of me... So I

was wondering if anyone here could tell me what ammo I should go buy so I can go

over to his house when he's at work and turn his barrel into swiss cheese. Thx.

bigger the bullet the more punch NOT penetration, smaller bullets are good for penetration.

therefor, we really have no need to own guns at all, because all the criminals fallow these

Here's an interesting test of penetration, while barrels aren't tested it will still give you something to think about.

Try a FN FiveseveN or a PS90, if a 5.7x28 will put down a Jaffa it should go thru a barrel like an ice pick through a snitch's ear. The original round was supposed to penetrate CIRSAT armor out to 200 metres.
