As of today there are still two China's in this World, the free Chinese of Taiwan, and the Communist Chinese of Mainland China. Even though the threat of Communism is not taught in US schools anymore, it doesn't diminish the threat of the Communist doctrine of Mainland China. The USA used to be the main supplier of goods to the rest of the World, and that is what built this Country during the last 100 years or so. Now we are becoming totally dependant on the goods made by other countries and that is leading to a rapid decline of our industrial base. Once we become dependant on other countries for our basic needs such as food and energy, our strength as a Country will be very diminished. I think we are WELL into #7, with maybe a bit of clean-up left on #6, but I think that step is pretty much wrapped up. It wont be long before the USA is nothing more than a bunch of middle men. Shortly, therefater the USA will be nothing cause nobody needs or wants middle men. I am hoping for some form of wake up from not only our "leaders" but our populace as well, but unless something very dramatic happnes its a lost cause. When people are more concerned what Imus said about a bunch of basketball players or who sang what on Idol instead of voting in an election its a lost cause. We are in for a rough ride in the next generation or at best two. About the only thing rising in the USA is individual debt and government employment. Sad state of affairs we have going on.
