We had our monthly IDPA match yesterday and I finally got a chance to shoot a M&P in it. I was shooting full power reloads no gamey stuff this time. The gun performaed flawlessly wish I could say the same about myself. My competition thinking skills were a little rusty with a few months off. Enough excuses here are the videos.

As you can see even with full power loads muzzle rise is minimal, even with less than ideal shooting stances/positions.

Enjoy,

Buckshot,

I don't like those kind of stages they make you think and shoot at the same time :?

There were 4 different hands you could be given. So you couldn't count shoots, or memorize the pattern.

You had to shoot the target suit with the same number of shots as the number of the suit on the card and the ace was the no shoot. So if you had a 5 of spades, 2 hearts, and 4 hearts, ace of diamonds. you had to shoot the spade target 5 times, the heart 2 times, heart 4 times and miss the diamond.

They also made it a limited vickers count so you couldn't just shoot each target 5 times and call it a day.

Looks like more fun than I had, we just shot a classifier. I think I'm going to stay ssp, maybe some trigger work, but nothing else. I made SS easy 1st try, and was 5 points away from expert on the 2nd try, and by then I was going crosseyed.

These were the 2 other stages from our macth, I had to add these in here as well. I am not sure what happened to the footage of me shooting these 2 stages but here is my good friend Paul whom has not yet converted back from the Glockside.

Jester,

next month we are shooting the classifier during the afternoon and having our annual Night shoot (doesn't start until the sun goes down). I am pretty sure we will have our shoot house back open for that shoot as well. So you may want to try to get over here for that one.

I definitely need to work on my recoil control. I still have a lot more muzzle flip than you. What load were you shooting specifically? I shoot IPSC myself.

Does it matter that I'm not a member of IDPA? our club doesn't care, and anyone shoots.

Jester,

Doesn't matter at our club either. That night shoot is usually run IDPA "style" so you can use attached lights/lasers or whatever floats your boat.

Ledge,

I would never recomend my Load as it is really dirty. but it is a 200 gr precision bullet over some AA#5. not really sure how much off the top of my head (I thnik it is about 5.8-6.0gr please do not go by my foggy recollection) but I think it makes major pf. I got bunch of the AA#5 free so I am trying to burn it up.
