Called them about a month ago about M&P holsters.

They will do them for the M&P, but said they have not been getting many requests. They did not have a compact to take the dimensions from and said you would need to send it in to have one made for the compact.

Wait time is at 5 months.

That style holster is made by a number of holster makers, and in fact I have one being made by Mark Garrity for my M&P
. Price is VERY reasonable and he can make them for the M&P. Wait time is about 3-4 months. Any alterations you could want just discuss it with him and he'll make it for you, truly custom leather.

He was pleasent to deal with, but the proof will be in the pudding when I get my holster. He is pretty well known on combatcarry (A great CCW specific forum).

Here is his interpretation:

I figure when I get a compact I can carry it in the full size holster also. If it carries well like that, I'll order another for my compact.

After comparing the full size M&P to my G19 (my daily carry weapon) I noticed there isn't much of a difference in size. I think I could carry a full size in a VMII with little effort!

However, that might not stop me from buying a compact eventually

I felt the same way. I actually felt the M&P/Infidel was easier to carry than my G19 in a CTAC. Of course I would need to try an M&P in a CTAC for a totally apples to apples comparison.

Hum, that's good to know. Does Comp-Tac make a CTAC for the M&P? I carried my G19 in a CTAC for years before discovering the VMII so I'd be interested in trying one as well with my M&P.
