Vortex Venom vs Holosun 407c/507c for 4" compact 2.0

Looking at a red dot optic for my Compact 2.0 optics ready pistol. I'd like to keep the price under $300. I also want a top or side loading battery so I don't have to remove the sight to replace battery. Narrowed the field to the Holosun 407c/507c or vortex venom. Any feedback on oem compatibility and experiences are appreciated.

Watching.
I'm also looking for a dot.
What is Holosun's warranty and customer service like? Vortex is easy.

I only carried/used Trijicon for years. Then I bought a Holoson after watching some test/trial vids on you tube. Saw some of those guys beating and banging those Holosons on the wood tables, wood walls (as in shove the optic up against the 2X4 and jam it forward hard and fast enough to rack the slide back and chamber the next round - and repeat it over and over. Watched them drop it on concrete, optic down enough times to crack the lens and yet the darn thing retained zero and kept on working. I now own more Holosons than Trijicons and have just ordered two more in the last couple of weeks.

I Have Several Vortex Venoms on Carry And Competition guns. Also Have 2 DPP. Venoms have held up pretty good no issues. DPP work REALLY well also got those in A Trade.

I have both the Venom and HS507 on various pistols. Both are excellent sights and both offer great warranties. I prefer the HS507 for competition guns as the circle/dot reticle is much faster for me to "pick up" from the draw. The Venom is fine when speed is less important.
I'm just getting into optics also. I have two Holson 507G for green dot, which I can see a lot better. I prefer a side loading battery, some of the top mounts are a bear to get the cap screwed back on. Plus, the auto on and solar power features are also nice to have. The Primary Arms Holosun with the Vulcan reticle is really the one to get, for the same price. Swampfox also makes some nice dot sights, now in red or green for a little less money.

Both have worked well for me. I thought I liked the thinner shroud (block out less of target) of the Venom better. However, after trying the 507 I realized I don’t even see the shroud and prefer the taller window of the 507. It also seems more durable. I’ve also had 1 fail of each make.
