Hello folks,



I just sent my money order in to Bud's Gun Shop for an M&P40 w/ no mag safety, no internal lock, and the Novak night sights. I've never been into S&W semi-autos, but I simply couldn't pass up the deal Bud's is having on the M&P.



I'm a die-hard SIG fan, and the only other polymer pistols I have owned are the SA XD-series...I love the XD9, didn't like the XD45, and simply couldn't afford to shoot the XD357. My only complaint with the XD-series was the placement of the slide-catch lever...the M&P's lever is far enough forward that I won't ride it while shooting.



Needless to say, I'm excited about my new gun and can't wait to verify its reliablity so I can start carrying it!

Hey Brywards! Hope you enjoy the M&P once you get it. Seems like we both have similar taste in pistols (I traded you for the XD 357). I'm looking at the M&P 40 as my next purchase also. Good luck, and maybe we'll run into each other at the Firing Line sometime.
