Mine has (all the time):
a pen for writing on my targets
stapler and staples
ear protection for me
the little handout ear plugs in case someone else might need some
couple sets of those fold up tool things (like a swiss army knife but bigger)
some 9MM ammo of various bullet weights/types
a can of spray lube (sometimes have a person on the next bench over with no idea a gun needs some lube run when it gets so dirty it needs to be traded it):devilish:
a cleaning rod to pop a too long cartridge back out of the chamber (happened to me once several years ago so I carry that now just in case)
a bag of the various little tools used to adjust sights on AKs, ARs, etc.
an IR temp. ga. (used to use it to measure barrel temps after a string of rifle fire (never have thought to use it after shooting a group with a handgun)
walmart bags for bringing my used brass home from the range
uplula mag loader
other stuff (bag is nearly full but all the contents escape my memory right now)

For most range trips I'll also add some spare mags for the guns I'm shooting that day, special ammo I'm planning to try out, maybe a second pistol, etc.

Foam ear plugs in case someone else might need some
Lens cleaning cloth
Assorted gun/accessory specific tools for making adjustments
No UpLula unless I don't have enough mags for a specific pistol (that doesn't happen often) in which case some extra boxed ammo will be in there

Mostly, loaded magazines - a LOT of loaded magazines

Not as much as everyone else, apparently! Loaded mags, Uplula, ears, eyes, pen, sharpie, spare batteries for red dots, wipe down rag, foam plugs, band aids & moleskin, hand cleaner, range ID, & ammo.

The club I belong to has trauma kits on site, so no first aid kit besides the one in my car. No cleaning supplies or specialty tools; I'm 15 minutes from home if I need any of those things. If I'm traveling to a distant range, however, then my "gun care closet" travels with me. I either travel very, very light or I'm prepared for just about anything. Not much in between.

All I can remember off hand: Cleaning kit, extra pistol targets, staple gun, stapler, extra staples, ear plugs, a ton of allen wrenches, kite string measured out to 50 yards (used to have to put my own target stand out at 1 range), a few boresnakes, ear muffs

When I go to the range, ammo and mags get put in too.

I forgot about the allen wrenches, metric allen wrenches, torx tip wrenches, etc. And the small set of binoculars for looking at targets when someone else is shooting a rifle and I want to see where the bullets are on the target.

Gun of the day with matching ammo, holster and mags, mag carriers, CLP, rag, UPLULA, loose ammo in plastic box, shot timer, spare ear plugs, electronic muffs, small folding binoculars, spare muff batteries, staple gun and staples, some tools, various sized (3) range rods for checking bores and removing squibs from folks barrels, small/thin feminine pads for quick bandages, hand towel, wet wipes, sun block, insect repellent, and iced tea in a thermos that attaches to the range bag.

I haul the range bag in a collapsible cart, along with a folding stool, and a beach umbrella (in the summer) that mounts to the cart.

I carry targets, stapler and staples, ear muffs and basic tools in my vehicle all the time. If I'm shooting the modern guns I just grab whatever guns, mags and ammo I need before I leave for the range. If I'm shooting the flintlocks I have a separate range box with everything I need for them that I take, along with whichever guns I'm shooting that day. I go to the range often so I try to keep it simple. Nothing worse than getting to the range and finding out you forgot to bring something essential.

You reminded me I have a brand new in the box folding cart in the garage. My nephew bought it for me years ago. I need to dig that thing out, set it up, load it up, see what it will carry and see if I can get it and the range stuff in the trunk of my car. I know it won't fit in one car but it might in the other. I surely had forgotten about it.

Mine fits fine in the back of my Ram; but I’m sure that it’d fit OK in the trunk of my wife’s Charger, too. 👍

You’re gonna love yours; I’ll bet!

Mines pretty simple:

Field cleaning kit
Leatherman MUT tool
Magazines / speed loaders
Hearing and eye protection
Flash light and tact pen
Lula

The guns are heavy enough already, right?

Most of that doesn't fit in my range bag. We got a good rolling airport travel bag for muffs, safety glasses, pistols in their cases, hats and such. The range bag straps onto the top. And still my ARs and targets have to be carried separately.

Hah! I know that feeling. Range bag in one hand, one AR case strap over/around my neck and one shoulder, targets under one arm, another AR case in the other hand, and who knows what else.

I come home from the range sometimes (worst example is when my wife goes with me and we can carry more stuff to the firing line) and have 4, maybe 5 pistols and three AR15's to clean before the evening is over. I don't mind cleaning guns, but it can take a long time to clean several after a tiring day loading up to go the range, driving to it, shooting, driving back and carrying stuff back into the house.

Weird how being so tired/dirty was fun.

Wifey helps a lot. Most of the time I only carry the AR case (I never bring more than one) but it takes 2 of us to strap the range bag to the rolling travel bag.

Indeed, but......

I rarely clean used guns the same day. Sometimes weeks go by before cleaning occurs.

What I routinely do right after a range visit is reload the empty mags. Few things are more useless than an empty mag.

I can't get Wifey interested in gun cleaning. It's probably just as well though. She once put .380 ammo in my 9mm magazine. Nothing exploded, but it was a memorable event.

I don’t clean my range guns until after shooting them weekly for a month or two. Carry guns are cleaned as soon as I get home. Every time. 👍

Everything I noted fits in my range bag except the iced tea thermos, and that is attached to one of the top handles with a carabiner; and it isn’t a super-sized range bag. 👍
