I'm wondering which Belt slide kydex holster holds the gun tightest to the body?

i use a serpa cqc for a glock 21. not easy to conceal, but very effective.

Its gonna be tough with kydex keeping close. Go with a galco leather if you want close.

So it's best to stick with leather...too bad. I wanted the latest and greatest to match my M&P...

Kydex is nice, but OWB kydex is best for winter cover if concealing.

I'm partial to Kramer horsehide holsters myself.

I went to one of my favorite gun shops to get a good fit, OWB pancake holster for my M&P 40. I bought the GALCO F619T CON44OB. It fits my MP perfect and is very comfortable. The retail price of 89 bucks is kind of high, but it is a very well finished holster.



I would post a pic, but my digital camera is down. Hopefully my wife took the hint and that is a new camera for me under the Christmas tree.

If you want the best holster you can buy get a custom holster. Josh Bulman of Bulman gunleather makes some of he nicest holsters you have ever seen. My M&P is in one of his High ride holsters all the time. Sits very high and very close to the body (with a good stiff belt).



There is just something satisfying with anything that is made to your exact specs.

If you are still looking for a plastic holster... I can suggest:



Model 6358 ALS™ Paddle Holster



or



Model 6351 ALS™ Belt Slide Holster



Both are issued by my department. I use the 6358. I was using the Blackhawk CQC w/ Sperpa lock... but after some testing under stress I found the "serpa lock" fails too often and the firearm can be pulled from your holster. This is NOT the case with the ALS system.

I agree with Dan, just don't be in a big hurry for your holster. Took me at least six months but definitely worth the wait.

DeSanits makes one and I am waiting for my dealer to get it in stock. Should be any day now. Dang, it's hard getting a holster for the M&P!

My Comp-Tac FBI Paddle rides close.

My Comp-Tac Infidel with dual belt loops is really nice and it holds VERY close to your body. 8)
