Anyone know if the frame mounted thumb safety will eventually be an option on all models?

I kinda' hope they do put one on all the models (or at least the option). I've always been a fan of a manual safety (1911 style... or is 1911 a bad word here  ). I know one is not really needed on M&P type DA but is an excellent feature IMHO.

That's why I bought 2 M&P's....no extra do-dads to fool with in a shooting situation. Might be good for competition, but not for CCW....IMO.

Not in any Competition I do!!

For IPSC Production Division the Manual Safety is not required therefore not necessary.

I did see a 9mm with a manual safety last weekend that a S&W LE rep showed me.

I bet a Manual Safety Sear ABlock can be dropped into the 9mm/40S&W Frame with little effort.
