They work REAL well when you're having to clean a barrel that had corrosive ammo put through it. I cleaned my M38 Carbine today and took off the original finish and varnish (so it looks all nice and light now) and noticed that there was a lot of green tarnish at the end of the barrel. So, in a dash for windex, the only thing we could find were Windex Wipes. Thinking about it, I put it in the cleaning attachment for the papers and passed it through the barrel. OMG did it clean it off. When the first wipe came out, it was completely black, with some green tint. After 2 more, I passed a dry wipe through it, and then regular Hoppes #9, followed by another clean wipe, and it came out completely shiny.

Just a recommendation!
