I picked up a Shield 45 recently. I really like it. How do you all feel about the Shield 45?

I like mine a lot. Power in a small package, but shoots like a full size pistol.

I don't like the 6 round magazine as well, even with the slightly longer grip of the .45, there's not enough room for my little finger. I'm going to order the spring and two base plate pieces from the 7 round magazine, and make my 6 rounder a +1, so all my mags will be the same. Those .45 magazines are even harder to load than my 9mm and .40 mags. Good thing I have some loaders to help things.

I found a DeSantis suede IWB holster in my old holster box that fits the .45, and getting ready to order a set of TFO sights, so the .45 will be have the same sights as my other two M&P's.
I dislike the plastic rear side cover ( I know they don't fail, I just don't like them) so I replaced mine with a NDZ aluminum FDE one. In a few months when I get my Cerakote gear out, the whole pistol will be FDE and OD Green or Sage Green.

I found mine hits to point of aim with 200 grain bullets.( 230's hit about 4 inches high). So the Speer 200 grain Gold Dot will be my carry load.

Great gun
Bought mine right when they were released. Has over 2k thru it easily.
Accurate and concealable.
I sold the 6 rd carry with 8+1 and a 8 spare on the weak side. All my spares (6total) are 7 rd mags and 3 have the hyve extensions so they are 8.

I like the extension of the grip and conceal ability is still good due to compact size of weapon.

I carry it daily winter summer spring or fall.

Swapped out from a 40 version to this one.

Mags are tuff but doable even without an UpLuLa which makes um a breeze.

I like the more aggressive stippling on my .45. If my PC 9/40 had it, I wouldn't have needed the Talon grip decal on the PC.
The Talon has held up well for almost 4 years, but is beginning to have some edges turn up. When I take it off eventually, I'll do my own stippling job on it with a soldering iron, so it will be more like the .45.
